A creative wayfinding project is coming to Barnet this year! Connecting communities across the borough from Colindale to North Finchley, it will draw attention to Barnet’s unique heritage, pointing to well-known landmarks and uncovering hidden local stories.
Over the last 4 monthsWayward and Andre Kong Studio, have been hosting shadow puppetry workshops, going on neighbourhood walks, having conversations with residents, meeting with local heritage partners, and diving deep into the archives to bring together memories, myths, and histories that reflect the rich and diverse character of the borough.
These stories will be brought together through a printed and digital Barnet Heritage Trail map, alongside a series of permanent installations designed to help people navigate and experience Barnet in new ways.
