The Lemonary is a winter home for lemon trees, a glowing yellow, illuminated space inspired by a rustic sixteenth century Italian limonaia. Commissioned by the Pennsylvania Horticulture Society for the Philadelphia Flower Show, the pavilion was designed to challenge the culture of waste at these large events, designing a project which could be entirely reused and rehomed after the show. The planters moved to a community garden in Manayunk and the trees were given to create an interior garden for the Equity Project, committed to advancing racial equity through youth empowerment and radical access.
